I am surprised at some of the LOW top-speeds listed for some motorcycles here. Guzzi 850, Suzuki X6 Hustler, Ducati 250, and others. Yes, I know so many times people over-state the speed of their bike. Yes, speedos are notoriously inaccurate. I generally calibrate my cycle speedos so I have a good idea how fast I really go. I am convinced that this bike will get right around 100 mph. Back in the day, a poor man could take a bike like this, put on a fairing, clip-ons, tires, tuned exhaust and go racing. In that trim they will drone around a track all day at 120 mph. Measured, not guessed. It was a very reliable racer. When I put the factory tuned pipe on mine (they came with a muffler, as well as the racing pipe), and I took it out for the first time, it felt good but not much stronger than with the muffler. I went through a couple gears, then held the rpm longer, at about 8000-9000 I was about to shift, thinking.. \
