RE: CONCERNING A SUZUKI GS 450

I have a suzuki gs 450 that won´t start. I replaced the starter solenoid, but all that happens when i press the start button is the solenoid clicks once, each time i pressed the button. I discovered a broken red o connector coming from the battery lead. The red wire continues past the connector to the fuse, which i replaced. the starter appears top be in good shape- anyone know what that first red connection from the battery goes to?
