RE: Lowering kits for the KLR
Jason said 2004-07-12 04:53
I too have a 32" inseam and rode my KLR for a couple months on my tip toes. I bought a 1 1/2" lowering kit from www.scootworks.com for $90.00. It lowered the seat height to about 33" after I lowered the front 1" too. The kit includes instructions on how to lower the front. No parts are needed. You will also have to have the sidestand shortened or you can buy a short one on www.klr650.com for $50.00. I can now flat foot my KLR and it still has enough suspension travel. It only took me about an hour to lower the bike, but I have a lift. Well worth the money. The bike can be raised just as easily by installing the original suspension links. Hope this helps.
