91 Suzuki DR 350 S discussion forum: cut out switch

Help with cut out switch.. guys iv recently bought my son a dr350 field bike bike starts and runs fine, but when you click it in gear it cuts out as most of the wiring loom has been removed im not sure what would cause this to happen. are there any cut out switches or wires i should be aware of?..cheers
