The 1987 Lemans SE was a very limited edition Guzzi, with only about 100 manufactured. It came only with the red and white color scheme. They were built with a few modifications from the earlier LeMans IV. The major difference was the "racing" transmission which had a higher ratio low gear. It has 40mm Delorto Carbs, 10:1 compression ratio. Factory rated top speed of 143mph and 44mpg. 6.3 Gal fuel tank with reserve of 1 gal. The origional list price was approx $7,000. I purchased mine new in 1989, and now have about 65,000 miles on it so it is now just about broken in! I have ridden this bike in ALL of the states West of the Mississippi, including Canada, and about 10 stated East of the Mississippi. It as a very reliable and fun motorcycle. Paul
