The 5 speed with leaf spring is difficult. Iv´e read a few ways to do it but none are bullit proof. I put mine in first gear so I was sure the dogs were engaged and in first gear. I believe I lifted my shift quadrant one notch from all the way up and I had all but 5th. gear so I lowered it one more and it worked. Those transmissions shift so sloppy when turned by hand that without driving it it is hard to be positive you are right. Fortunately I was right. |
