Had oil Temp gauge installed and then an Oil Cooler and HD synthetic oil after the first service. Now have 16,000k on it and the rear cylinder has never needed to shut off, even on hot days, (95F) on short trips through the city. The Temperature dropped 55*F from 285F to 230F on hot days. Iv herd synthetic is good up to 300F so because the temperature was getting close to that during break in and the rear cylinder was shutting off a lot in traffic as well, I decided there and then to switch from the regular HD Motor Oil. Also put on a Center stand which is a new thing. Some fun putting it on, but it works like a hot damn. Just needs a short extension pipe for a better reach but its all quite well hidden, looks ok and hasnt draged so far. I just wish there was more than 3 3/8 inch screws holding it on as its an extra 12 pounds. The seat could be a little better,..has anyone tried a Mustang seat or something comparable? Could use some info on Tire choices as mine didnt get included in the recall so I\´ll be buying. Red/Gold 09 FLHRC
