Bought my first Daytona in \´91, still like them and got a few in the shed. I have a letter in front of me from Triumph dated 1st October 2003 which states \´ Triumph manufactured 300 per year from \´94-\´96 (600 in total). The sprag assembly was improved on a number of models at that time...\´ Alcon reputedly made 1500 sets of six-pots for a production run of 1000 bikes but at £10k they did not sell and many were sent back from the US unsold
600 models is not rare, it\´s desirable and a great bike but not rare. If you want rare in the Daytonas try the 750 (\´91-\´93) 270 or the Daytona 1200SE at a stated 250. The six-pots are quite hard to get hold of now as most of the remaining stock were used up on the SE.Stay upright, Mikey B
