Re belt drive. I have done 35,000km on my belt and it is fine. A small stone puncture hole in the centre of the belt at 8,000km has not enlarged at all. Most of my miles are on windy back country roads or about town, often with pillion. I will be looking at replacing belt at 40,000km though just to be on the safe side
