80 Yamaha XJ 650 Maxim discussion forum: layed down

I recently bought a 1980 650 maxim...noticed that the handle bars didnt seem plum (left to right) put in another way..if my sons handle bars do this i can stradle the front wheel then straighten the handle bars.... how do I do it on a motorcycle... any help would be great. Thanks in advance..ken
