cant change down from high gears after emergency stops
dan McKimm said 2008-12-14 11:20
so, ive been practicing my emergency braking from about 80km in 6th gear. I apply the brakes, and be sure to keep the bike in gear as i have been told that in squeezing the clutch, you loose your engine brakes, thus keeping you at speed for longer. the only problem is that once i get down to about 30km when i need to squeez it in to stop staling, i cant shift down to a lower gear when i push the foot lever down? so i then have to ride the clutch for ages, get up to speed to be in gear in 6th, and then change down, which is highly impractical. i´m a very novice rider who´s just bought the cbr125 as his first bike, so i´m not sure if this is a common problem with either my riding techneque or motorbikes in general. any ideas?
