I heard a rumor at our local Yamaha shop during a rally that the 2010 or 2011 Royal star was going to have a fuel injected 1700cc four cylinder once again based on the V-max. Using my (vast) experience with bike companies and their bean counters, I would temper that to somthing like 1400-1600cc with FI. All the V-twins are growing to 1700 to 2000cc but Yamaha\´s flagship four doesn\´t need that kind of displacment to keep up and pass the twins. I\´ve been waiting (and will continue to wait) to buy a Royal Star until they have FI.
