The r6 is a powerful performance bike, makes sure you have a feel of a bike in that category with less power, before you take a turn you cant handle, and if you just want to go straight, the r6 is not the bike for you, its meant to take turns at high speeds, unless your confident that you wont push yourself to the limit in the first 2 months of riding then yes, the r6 is the best in the 600cc category.
