Having owned a 2004 FLHTCUI, I traded for the 07 and LOVE IT. Be sure to do the Stage 1 and free flowing pipes. That will solve 95% of the heat issue. The tranny does have a noisy 5th gear. Mine does NOT ping. Never has.
I put 50,000 miles on the \´04 and have every intention of doing the same with this one.
