73 Honda overflowing gas Help Please!

My 73 cb450 is overflowing gas like crazy. I just bought had to tweek the timing a bit to get it running. It was running great I was going down the road and the left carb fell off. so it was spitting and sputtering after I reattached it. It cranks up now and runs fairly smooth but it is overflowing gas from the head and I don\´t know why all I can figure is its the floats in the carb. Does that sound right and if so can anyone tell me where the floats should be set? Please I am about ready to drop a match under while it pours gas!
