My first bike was and 800 Intruder. I am 5\´6 and it was perfect for my feet on the ground but engine wise it was top heavy. I now ride a 1200 Sportster and the I really feel very comfortable on it better than the Intruder. My Sportster handles a lot better on the road for me than the Intruder did. The best thing to do is test drive the bikes before you buy one and see how they feel to you. They all handle and feel different. You are the only one who will know if it fits you.
