The best type of bike to start on will be a Street/Trail This would be a single cylinder on and off road bike. Kaw, Honda, Suz ect all make them. A 600 is a very powerful bike these days and is probably more than anyone should start with. Just my advice. You can then move up to a larger bike later. I´ve been riding bikes since 7 years of age and am now 42. I ride a TL1000R. It´s a nice roadbike.
