Hi Neville, I Personaly dont use the electric start for the initial start of the day, because it kicks up so easily and because as all new bikes have the lights on all the time i do it also to save the battery, having said that i use the electric start regulaly and its fine.I have experience of scooters, and would always pick the full size wheels, as they are much more stable and confidence inspiring in wet or icy conditions when small wheels start to loose traction they do so Quickly, giving you less time to recover the handling .Hope this helps
