For the discussion forum to be useful, it needs to be monitored and subject topics need to be relevant. More often than not a subject line is so obscure, eg. "heres a suggestion" to be pointless. It might help to have a pre-defined outline of topical subjects that people can work within. Otherwise, it makes a great archive for random babling.
