I recently bought a beautiful VN 1500 Classic. I really love this bike but experiencing problems shifting from first to second gear. You can always "hear" the gears the bike has 48000 miles on it and is was/is well maintained. If I shift at low speed sometimes its not doing it and the shift sounds normal but at higher speed I always feel I´m grinding it in gear. All other gears sound fine. The clutch seem o.k. to. Does anybody have any idea why this is and what a possible remedy could be ?
