05 Kawasaki KLX 300 R discussion forum: contemplating buying

i know this group is geared toward the 300, but i am wondering if this bike is as great as i have read it to be. i looked into the honda cfr230 at first and heard all the rave about it. i have ridden it for around 10 miles of trail and like it. the kawi just has alot of extras (of course for the price). does anyone have any problems with the engine in any of the recent year 300´s. and lastly, i read about a rumor that a prolonged wheelie can seize the motor. i am a former kdx220 owner and had absolutely no complaints and loved the feather weight of these machines. any replies will be greatly appreciated. thanks, chris
