I agree completely with what you are saying. You cannot "sit" on top a motorcycle and operate it safely. You have to interact with the environment as it is at the moment. This means that you must be ready to brake, shift your weight or react in other unpredictable ways. Sometimes these weight shifts may seem counterintuitive. This is what experience teaches you.
