I have a 1998 748, and have just put it in for its 6000 mile service. They inspected the cam shafts and rockers and have pitting on the open valve rockers cost is over £500 + new cam belts and a service total £980 inc Vat and Tax. Im gutted.
This is caused by not warming up before riding it. who ever had the bike before me abused it and didnt read the owners manual. Leave the bike to idle for at least 90 to 120 seconds
