I am looking to get back into street riding after a ten year hiatus. My last bike was a Ducati 860GT. I liked the bike, but it was under powered and over weight. I too am looking at the SV1000S and the VTR1000F. I have heard that the VTR gets abysmal gas mileage, but I don´t know anything at all about the SV1000S other than what I have read from the specification sheet. Specification wise, these two bikes would seem to be fairly equal. Any comments on these two bikes would be appreciated!
