I rescued a YAMAHA XS650SJ from the graveyard and recently got it running. I´ve found 5 holes in the exhaust pipe, left side while on the seat, that are symetrical in size. 3 are located up by the exhaust port, 1 is approximately 6 in. prior to the muffler on the inboard side. The last on on the outboard side of the bike just prior to where the exhaust pipe mates to the muffler. Because of ther symetry I question why they´re there. Exhaust is leaking so should I have them welded. If you own this bike please help me out. Thanks. Martin Abela
