Also had one back in 72. The idea of the cylinder arrangement was to have an unsymetrical port timing, the exhaust would open first then the transfer ports but would close almost at the same time resulting in less fresh charge being lost out of the exhaust. As a result fuel consumption was very good for a two stroke. Removing the baffles the silencer cases become megaphones which with an increase in jetting increases power, normal two strokes use an expansion chamber. Noise becomes INCREDIBLE!!! Extremely antisocial!!!
