I am also a new rider only 5´1". Recently acquired a new 2004 Honda 250 CMX Rebel. Cruiser styling, easy to handle, great little bike... You might want to try a Honda CB bike for a more sporty styling.. maybe a CB400 since you´re a little taller than me and can probably reach the ground. Also the Suzuki Marauder bikes are really nice. I sat on one and could also reach the ground pretty good. I would suggest going to you local bike shops and just sitting on as many as you can until you find one you like. You´ll know the bike for you as soon as you sit on it.
