Helping an acquaintance
Scott Baxter said 2004-06-26 23:40
I encountered a fellow who bought a derelict NS 400R and want to help him out. This guy runs a motorcycle shop, but his 2 stroke experience is air cooled piston port jobs (Maico era and RDs) and he has no idea what has been done to his bike. I need to get him URLs, etc., and in particular detailed stock port map data so he can see if the prior owner got stupid w/a grinder. Any technical sites and any other info to help him restore this would be greatly appreciated. We are in St. Louis, MO, USA, and he at least knows that he won´t be getting his pistons and crank seals from the local Honda dealer. Please respond to my email address if you have anything that can help him out.
