Early 450 Honda experiences.

This is one of my favourite bikes. I bought a K1 second hand in 1972 and loved it. The engine is reliable (and very sophisticated with the DOHC & torsionon bar valve springs). Handling is good for a Honda of the period, it does scrape and the tall engine makes for a high centre of gravity. Replacing the shocks with Konis and heavier fork oil helps. It has buckets of torque and pulls like a train. In its day (pre CB750) it was the flagship of Honda´s range and the first Japanese bike to earn real respect. (Suzuki 500´s were 2 stroke and didn´t quite have what we´d now call street-cred)
