i recommend kawasaki klr 650 , it´s a strong bike and good for highway and dirty roads, i drove one kawasaki klr 650 model 1994, in 1996 to cross U.S.A. 2 times and then travel from El Paso, Texas to my home city, Bahia Blanca, Argentina, South America... around 10000 miles away, driving across mountain,jungle,desert... the klr was perfect. good luck.
