Hi, Ive just bought myself a 2002 XR650L and have only done about 200km around the local area which is mostly scrub land and a little rough in spots. after I returned from my ride which was about 40km I noticed that smoke and a clear liquid was coming from the battery compartment, after opening the cover to see what was going on I found that the battery was extreemly hot ( as in as hot a the head after a ride ) so I left it overnight to cool, after disconnecting the battery to inspect it, it looked ok so I hooked it back up and started it and it started with no problems but soon started to heat up again..any thoughts on whats going on??
