I found a 81 that the owner claims is a 250 and the engine does look like the pics I\īve seen but it has the single seat setup with the rear luggage rack like the 125 pics I\īve seen. The owner doesn\īt know much about bikes and wants me to either fix it for him or buy it. It\īs pretty rough and needs throttle cables, a key or new ign. switch and a battery. It doesn\īt have the side covers and who knows what else I\īll find wrong if I take on this project. I used to own a bike shop so I\īm sure that I can make it run but is it worth fixing? I can buy it for less than $100 (probably closer to $50) but I don\īt want to end up with any more than $400-$500 in it including paint and missing covers etc. I had to give up my Harley\īs a few years ago due to health issues and I\īm just looking for something cheap to take out and ride a little now and then. I would really like to find something bigger like and old Yamaha 650 or Honda 750.
