1974 suzuki gt250 firing issues
new said 2012-05-26 08:32
i have a 1974 suzuki gt250, i had it running at one point, but it ran poorly and took a million kicks to start it, we looked at the points and they seemed gapped wrong so we (sorry for the we meaning me and my father im only 17) changed the gap from 20 to 15 and then to 17, after each change we tried to kick it, me and ihm spend well over 3 hours taking turns kicking it and it wouldnt fire. its getting fuel but wont pop over, push starting wouldnt do it either. if anyone could help me im new but i love old stuff (i rebuilt a 74 dodge dart with my dad a few weeks before i moved onto this motorcycle) were stumped, anyone know why it wont fire anymore? 3 hours of kicking seems a little extreme.
