I used to own a 82 550katana I put big bore kit in (wisco) to 610 had kerker 4into 1 Crome header custom seat (hacksaw and 2 beers later) custom cut foam seat.We then took top end of 84 Suzuki gs 700 top end (barrels piston Crank ) and made custom spacer for motor and we had a 550/700 Katana . The only problem we had was that the front sprocket Would spin on the drive shaft and chew the splines on the sprocket Nothing a 200 titanium front sprocket wouldn\´t fix .we tested the bike against A 1000 gs Suzuki and that 550 kept up even in the lead for some time Until we hit 130mph and then the 1000started to catch up and then pass The 55O.that summer was the best ..that bike smoked more 750 and 900 Of the line so fast they didn\´t know what just blew them away .Then they would pull Me over and spend the next hour looking over my bike to figure what size the bike Was dont know how many times the said it was an 1100.. Hated when I sold the Bike ..atleast it went to a friend he had it for 1 year until sum %&#!¤ Stole it and ran it into the guard rail in high speed chase ...bike totaled ..and friend Under insured the bike so he got nothing for bike .....F\´N shame
