I have owned this bike since it was new in 1984. It requires a very well charged battery if you want to start it. If the green light is out, you may need a bulb. It will flood in a heart beat so do not add throttle when you are starting it or letting it warm up. I have used a battery booster to start it at times. If you do not start this bike every couple of days, it will be hard to start. Bigger jets may cause the bike to flood easier.
