Depending on what you look for in a bike, i have a few suggestions. The r-6 is a good bike, the fastest on the market, but only because it red lines at such a high RPM...the other bike manufacturers arent dumb...yamaha hasnt thought of anything new, they are just more willing to sacrifice some of the reliability (that is overall lifespan) in order to push out more HP. If you´re looking for something new and stylish, the r-6 is the most popular, however, if you want something dependable that will still make your eyes tear up with excitement, honda is the way to go.
Honda has the reputation for being the best. Their bikes outlast all others on the market, they are known for holding their value and the HP isnt that far off from the r6. If you want something new, take a look at the CBR 600RR. With an In line 4 engine, it cranks out 117 HP and I promise it will last past 20,000 miles.
I own a CBR F3 and I wouldnt trade it for anything. Good luck on your search!
