My book shows 1 1/2 turns out from fully seated. I went 1 3/4. Be carefull to just snug it when closing gently as I twisted mine off. It also says to count the inward turns till it seats in case of possible variances in adjustment from carb to carb, yet 1 1/2 turns works well.
