Toured on 1976 850 Cammando

My father bought a brand new 1976 850 Cammando here in Hamilton Ohio. I was his only son and he let me ride the machine thousands of miles. Him and I took the Cammando and his 1977 Kawasaki 1000 LTD to Virginia Beach. I told him at Virginia Beacch that we needed to check the valve clearances on the Norton. My father said donĀ“t worry about it. I was riding the Cammando back to Ohio and 60 miles from Virginia Beach the Norton burned a valve. I flogged that damn bike almost 1000 miles with a burned valve to get it back to Ohio. I was impressed with the Nortons power and handling on the Interstate before the valve burned. It cost my dad 300 dollars to get the burned valve fixed.
