changes i would make to my t100 Review of the Bonneville T100 submitted on 2004-06-29.
first the silencers need changing-far to quiet -this you will notice when traveling in sombodys blind spot if they cant hear you they dont know you are there. the blinkers are rubber mounted and tend to sag after about 20,000 kms a shortened set and solid mounted are great.its also a good idea to put a protector on the tank to stop belt buckles from scratching the tank. the rear guard is alloy and very soft so becarefull with those bungie cords. rear shocks are only just good enough -a set of konies will do the trick. a lot of the chrome work is sub standard and you will find that rust will creep in if you dont keep the wax up to it.engine chrome is brilliant. the two socket head bolts that hold the seat on will have to be lengthened so as you can get the seat off easier-make sure they are stainless steel.lastly get rid of the polution gear- the air injection system and replace the injector with a stainless hex head bolt of the same measurement DONT MAKE IT LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL INJECTOR THREAD.this bike is probably one of the best fun bikes i have ever ridden very forgiving -good tourqe- a sound motor-good frame-brilliant lighting and excellent brakes - you would be hard pushed to find a better twin-this is one bike i will not sell--brent
