Review of the 2003 Ducati ST4S ABS

Just what I´ve been dreaming of. A sport tourer with gusto. Review of the ST4S ABS submitted on 2008-09-05.
I´ve had so many bikes in my life I can´t remember them all...really, I forget all the time. But, this baby will be with me until I die. Basically the bike is a 996 SB that´s actually comfortable. A few tweaks here and there for more in town manners, but basically the 996 SB. The ABS is fantastic, I don´t care what the purest say, until you´ve had to use it, you´ll never know how great it is to have. And you can ALWAYS turn it off. The engine just pulls and pulls and pulls all the way up to about 160mph. The bike is rock solid at speeds, and the brakes haul you down to legal velocity in a second. This far no mechanical issues, just change the oil at 2500 miles with the best you can buy and she will keep on trucking. Every 5000 miles or so I´d recommend checking the valves and belts, but other than that its been remarkably maintenance free..for a Duc.
