Review of the 2006 Sym GTS 250
Honeymooning SYM 250 (2008 RV250)
|
Three BMW´s, one Chinese ´eBay scooter´, now THIS after 35 years (I love it!) Review of the GTS 250 submitted on 2008-08-07.
I´m second owner of a 2008 SYM RV250 purchased with 161 miles and big scratch on right side. Not really a M/C en-thusiast, I´ve, none-the-less, since 1971, owned 3 BMW M/C´s and one cheap P.R.C. scooter, prior to this SYM 250. The SYM´s a fine piece of work: agile, smooth, quiet, good looking. Great ´night-rider´, with good function- al ´rider architechture´, says this 59 year-old, 5´7´, 150# male. It has good brakes, seating, guages. Tail and headlights: Matchless! Underseat storage is cavernous. Original mirrors are ugly ´wind-draggers´, now gone, re-placed with aftermarket units. We go 2-up, 70+(honest)mph and 70+ mpg last tank. GRIPES: dash-panel turn indicators aren´t daytime-visible; audio signals would help and maybe better-located, bright LED units. Why not replace meek incandescant trunk light with an LED¿ No dealer within 200 miles, yet. Expect that to change. So far, so GREAT!! Expect it to last at least as long as gasoline and me persist. It´s tempting to treat (so many) Harley-Davidson riders with same cool disdain they appear to display!
